Melanie Jayne is family owned and operated. Melanie & her daughters design and manufacture bridal and evening wear, in Coffs Harbour, NSW Australia. Melanie Jayne uses the finest fabrics & laces sourced from within Australia and around the world, to create timeless pieces. Brides can choose from our beautiful range of ready to wear bridal gowns, or have a bespoke gown designed uniquely for you. From your Style and Design Bridal Consultation through to your finished wedding gown, Melanie Jayne will capture your vision. Starting with a hand drawn sketch, through to choosing fabric types, colours and beautiful laces, and handcrafting them into your dream bridal gown.

Designer

I am the middle daughter of Melanie, born in New Zealand and growing up under mums sewing desk. If it's shiny & sparkly I'm all over it & I adore working with the fine fabrics and laces that adorn the bridal gown. I studied Applied Fashion Design & Technology along with Pattern Making. I will sketch your ideas, help you choose your fabrics and design with you to create the gown you could only dream of. I draft all the patterns & do the hand embellishments and fine finishings to your gown & I can help style your look with my hand made heirloom veils and accessories.

Founder

I grew up in a small country town in the North Island of New Zealand with a love of the outdoors, horses, music and reading. I learnt to sew from my mother at a young age, so by the time I was 12, I was more than capable of making my own clothes. Fascinated with beautiful fabrics, at 19 years old with a roll of white satin and 5m of lace, from the spare room I made my first small collection of wedding dresses. I take great enjoyment in turning simple pieces of fine fabric and laces into gorgeous wedding gowns. Seeing a bride on her wedding day in my handcrafted gown is very emotional and gives me a great sense of honour that I was able to make that dream come true.

I am Melanie's youngest daughter, and the model in many of Melanie Jayne's product gallery. Born in New Zealand, but raised in Australia, I love adventure, including diving, climbing & riding horses. Growing up in a family where learning to sew was compulsory, I gained the skills to help the girls out in the atelier when needed.
